The Hebrew High School is a natural continuation of a student’s Jewish education. The program is designed to meet the needs of 8th, 9th, and 10th graders who have graduated from either our religious school or one of the local Jewish day schools. The students are given the opportunity to take courses ranging from contemporary Jewish issues to medical ethics, with a wide variety in between. Our Hebrew High students venture out beyond the classroom to various locations throughout the metro NY area.
While off-site, they will participate in experiential learning opportunities at various locations. Some examples of these trips include trips into NYC to visit the elderly as well as opportunities to meet with leading Jewish professionals throughout Rockland County. Informal Education is a crucial part of our Hebrew High School experience. In addition to the semi monthly trips to local sites and organizations, our students each participate in a yearly trip. These trips are intimately tied to the curriculum and provide an opportunity for our students to experience what they have studied. The trips are open to all students enrolled in our Hebrew High school in the appropriate grade.
